Bristol law firm Veale Wasbrough Vizards’ (VWV) education team has scooped a prestigious national award in recognition of its transactional prowess in in the sector.
The firm won the Deal Makers category at the annual EducationInvestor Awards, which celebrate innovation and excellence among businesses and organisations in the sector.
Awards were presented in 27 categories last night at the Hilton on London’s Park Lane.
The judging panel, made up of 17 industry experts drawn from across the sector, said of VWV’s winning entry: “An extraordinary focus on deal making in education. VWV offers clients access to a unique blend of public and private sector expertise, combining public sector practice with private sector experience of advising investors and private education providers. This combined experience enables them to deliver practical and innovative solutions.”
VWV managing partner Simon Heald added: “2013/14 has been a particularly good year for us in terms of the size, number and profile of deals that we have undertaken.

The awards dinner was attended by more than 750 of the sector’s leading individuals.
