Bristol specialist motor leasing firm Vanaways is aiming to help fleet owners get their vehicles back on the road quicker by teaming up with a UK-wide network of bodyshops.

Under the exclusive deal with Essex-based Artura Consultancy, Vanaways’ customers will receive priority access to the 130 sites it manages across the UK.

In turn, Artura will promote Vanaways as a vehicle provider to its own customers while providing its network with a regular stream of work from businesses keen to minimise the expense of replacement hire costs.

The partnership is the latest in a series of strategic arrangements secured this year by Vanaways, including partnerships with Veriforce CHAS, the UK’s leading provider of risk prevention, compliance and supply chain services for contractors., and Fleetmaxx Solutions, which provides fuel cards that can be used at more than 3,500 filling stations across the country.

Both tie-ups are already cross-promoting services to tens of thousands of businesses across the UK.

Vanaways business development director Liam Nicholas, pictured above left, with Anthony Heard of Artura, described the partnership with Artura as “a win-win for everyone”.

He added: “Over the past few months we’ve built up a consortium of like-minded companies who we can work with in these strategic partnerships.

“Between us, CHAS, Fleetmaxx and now Artura, we can offer the business community a wholly different suite of options for buying, risk managing, fuelling and maintaining their vehicles.

“We’re united by common values of doing what’s best for our customers, with the business benefits to ourselves coming as a secondary advantage.

“That’s an approach which is new, and it’s been the basis for our success over recent years.”

Artura, headquartered in Colchester, includes 35 under its direct control through the Evolution Repair Group. It was launched last year by Anthony Heard, who established Evolution Repair Group in 2020.

Artura has already grown from three to 24 staff and increased its revenue by163% to more than £80m in the past year.

Anthony Head said: “What we’ve decided to offer is a service which straddles the divide between claims management companies and bodyshops.

“In a challenging economy and with insurance premiums and excess prices rising, we’re finding that many vehicle owners are no longer claiming for minor repairs. That’s causing bodyshops to struggle to meet the necessary revenue requirements.

“We want to offer out the complete claims management package that will give clients the best customer journey while helping bodyshops optimise their space and time.

“Together, our bodyshops, alongside Artura Consultancy, will drive down wasted claims costs which will make it better for the Vanaways customer base. It’s a model where everyone wins.”

Vanaways works with a large network of suppliers across the UK, offering free delivery with a digitalised sales process which enables quick fulfilment of the customer’s fleet needs.

The firm is undergoing major growth, having moved to new offices in Ham Green last year, and is on track to sell more than 6,000 vehicles this year.
