Property consultant Eddisons has boosted its presence in the South West with the arrival of Ania Packman as a director and Barney Mather as an associate director.

The two appointments come as the Leeds-headquartered firm continues its aggressive growth strategy, which has included 10 acquisitions since 2015 – four of them completed last year, including Andrew Forbes, the independent Bristol firm it snapped up in a deal worth up to £1m.

Eddisons now employs 18 people at its Bristol office with further hires planned later this year. The firm’s South West and South Wales region incorporates further offices in Bath, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Swindon and Exeter.

Valuation specialist Barney, pictured right, who will be based primarily in the firm’s Bristol office but cover the whole of the South West, joins from the Valuation Office Agency. Prior to that he was a chartered surveyor with Andrew Forbes.

Covering Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Ania, pictured below, is a valuation expert with more than 20 years’ property industry experience.

She joins Eddisons from Taunton firm Greenslade Taylor Hunt and was previously a partner and regional surveyor at London agency Allsop.

The appointments follow three promotions in the Bristol office in May, when Charlie Whitehead and Jeremy Harris became associate directors and Alex Smith, who works across the firm’s Bristol and Cardiff offices, was made a senior surveyor.

Eddisons South West and South Wales regional director David Chichester said: “We are really pleased to welcome Ania to the team and to have our colleague Barney back with us again.

“Both are highly experienced valuations professionals with in-depth experience and understanding of the commercial and residential markets here in the South West.

“With retail banks and pension firms making up our clients base across the region, our growth, both in our region and UK-wide, is driven by demand founded on Eddisons’ client-focused approach.

“We are committed always to deliver the very best service, an ethos that is shared by all our team.”

Eddisons now employs around 500 people across 30 UK offices.
