Bristol-based business technology firm Desynit employee Simon Lawrence has been awarded the title of Most Valued Professional (MVP) by US cloud technology giant Salesforce.com – one of only 8 in the UK and 32 worldwide.

Remarkably, he is the second of Desynit’s 12-strong team to become an MVP and joins colleague Chris Lewis on the developer role of honour.

Desynit, a Salesforce.com partner for four years, sells cutting-edge business systems on the cloud platform to a range of organisations in the region. The firm said the double award from the leading technology provider was a testament to the level of expertise its development team has achieved on the platform.

Desynit director Matthew Morris said: “Salesforce is a powerful technology that transforms businesses.

“The challenge is tailoring it to work exactly how you need it to, to achieve your goals. That’s our skill at Desynit. We’ve invested heavily in our developers, as we want them to be best, not just locally, but globally. This award just underlines that despite being a team of 12, small businesses like Desynit can offer a depth of knowledge to our clients that rivals that of much bigger consultancies.”

Chris and Simon will now play a role in major Salesforce events such as the Salesforce1 world tour, which visits London’s ExCel on May 23, They will also be jetting off to the three-day MVP summit next month to join fellow award holders in San Francisco.
