Bristol law firm Meade King has promoted three staff to partner level in its property and professional negligence teams.
The three are Jodie Purdue, who works in Meade King’s residential property team, commercial property lawyer Heidi Bateman, and Simon Price, a lawyer in its dispute resolution and litigation department.
Jodie joined Meade King in 2004 as a legal secretary and then completed her training to become a licensed conveyancer while working full time. She qualified in 2012 and now specialises in all types of residential conveyancing, from house sales and purchases to more complicated property transactions.
Heidi has worked in commercial property since joining Meade King in 2014. She has a wide range of property experience and acts for landlords, tenants, purchasers and sellers, as well as banks and pension funds. She is also a key member of Meade King’s specialist dental and healthcare team, advising on property matters.
Simon qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and arrived with the firm from Lyons Davidson in Bristol, where he specialised in professional negligence. Now working in Meade King’s dispute resolution and litigation department, he has great experience acting for clients in claims against solicitors, barristers, surveyors, architects and accountants.
Meade King managing partner James Hawkins said: “We’re delighted to promote lawyers of such high calibre and experience and I would like to congratulate Jodie, Heidi and Simon on this fine achievement which is richly deserved.
“They have each contributed so much to Meade King already and will continue to provide the very highest standards of legal advice to our growing number of commercial and individual clients.”
Single-office firm Meade King’s lawyers have particular expertise in areas such as commercial property, business sales and acquisitions, construction contracts, dispute resolution and employment law.
The firm also advises a wide range of commercial organisations including care homes, pharmacies, GP surgeries and technology businesses and is nationally recognised for the high quality commercial and regulatory advice it provides to dentists and other healthcare providers.
