Global insurance giant Aon has promoted three partners in its Bristol office. The three – Kate Charsley, Karen McWilliam and Alison Murray – all work in Aon’s retirement and investment businesses and specialise in advising the major pension schemes of private and public organisations.
Kate Charsley is a senior investment consultant who chairs the firm’s UK investment committee and is a member of the investment practice leadership team. She is the lead investment consultant on several pension fund and endowment clients and also leads the Bristol consulting team.
Karen McWilliam is a specialist in public sector pension schemes and is at the forefront of Aon’s advisory work with the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds in relation to governance issues as well as administration and benefits consultancy services.
Alison Murray, who has worked for Aon for five years, heads its public sector actuarial services business in UK retirement, leading its proposition for LGPS funds and employers in relation to pension actuarial advice and related services.
Head of AON’s Bristol office Richard Cox said: “It’s great news for Alison, Karen and Kate that they have each received this well-merited promotion to partner level. All three have wide experience in their fields and while with Aon have shown the knowledge and determination that our clients value.
“But this is also great news for the Bristol office as a whole – it’s a real reflection of the quality of people we have here and the opportunities open to them.”
The three partner promotions in the Bristol office, which is based in Marsh Street, are among a number in Aon’s offices across the UK.
Globally, the firm, which specialises in risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting, employs more than 50,000 people in 120 countries.
