SETsquared Bristol, the world-leading tech incubator, has grown its team with three new Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR).
The increase to four EiRs is in response to growing membership at the incubator, which is backed by the University of Bristol. It currently has 85 member companies.
Last year it widened its membership eligibility to founders or companies based in the whole of the UK, recognising that many aspects of its programme can be delivered online.
The new EiRs are Anna-Lisa Wesley, Olivia Chapman and Stewart Noakes, who join long-standing EiR Rick Chapman, and bring with them a diverse skillset to SETsquared member companies.
Anna-Lisa, pictured right, is co-founder of a start-up advisory service, a business mentor for tech accelerators including TechStars, Accenture FIL, Barclays Black Founders and BGV, and a coach to academics looking to commercialise.
Olivia, pictured below left, is a PhD microbiologist, previous Entrepreneur in Residence at University of Exeter, and founder of a biotech and an agritech company. She has media experience as an author, TEDx presenter and microbiologist consultant for TV documentaries.
Stewart, pictured below right, is an experienced entrepreneur, non-executive director, executive coach and mentor. Stewart has started, grown and run multiple businesses in the UK, US, India and Portugal.
EiRs play a key role in delivering the incubator’s business support programme, providing companies with commercial development via one-to-one sessions, business review panels, investment readiness, and introductions to advisor, skills and investment networks.
SETsquared centre director Monika Radclyffe said: “We’re really thrilled to be expanding our EiR team with such a wealth of experience to help support our companies to make an impact in the world. These are exciting times as we grow SETsquared Bristol.”
The appointments have taken place as SETsquared Bristol, which is based at the city’s Engine Shed innovation hub, looks to launch a new University of Bristol pre-incubation programme this autumn aimed at university academic researchers and early-stage founders in the UK.
SETsquared Bristol provides a dynamic, collaborative and supportive environment supporting its members with high-quality, bespoke business support and expertise.
