Telecoms and IT firm Pure Comms has been named as Reseller of the Year in a national awards scheme that celebrates the industry’s brightest and best companies.
The firm, which has offices near Clevedon and in St Austell, Cornwall, beat much larger rivals to claim the title at the annual Channel Telecom Awards held recently at London’s Mayfair Hotel.
Channel Telecoms, a Sunday Times Tech Track 100 firm and one of the UK’s leading telecoms groups, stages the awards to champion top performers in the industry.
Pure Comms CEO Rob Vivian said: “Awards like these provide a good benchmark for us to work against. It shows we’re up there with the leading telecoms providers in the UK and this is good news for our customers.”
Rob, who founded Pure Comms seven years ago, makes no bones about the fact that the firm is more expensive than many other providers, but has developed the business around ‘world-class’ service.
“Everybody says that they offer great customer service but we’ve really tried to drill down into what this means and continually offer an added value proposition,” he said.
“This can mean simple things like being on the end of the phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, or investing hundreds of thousands of pounds in cutting-edge infrastructure to ensure our customers have zero down time.”
Channel Telecom managing director Clifford Norton said the award judges had a tough job.
“This year, with so many high achievers, our account managers faced the meticulous task of comparing the many statistics collated throughout the past 12 months and selecting the very best of a brilliant group.
“It is no easy job to hone in on those who deserve to win as we are lucky enough to partner with some fantastic businesses across the UK who consistently deliver.
“We have enjoyed a great business relationship with Pure Comms for many years now and it was our pleasure to award them with Reseller of the Year. Their title has been earned through persistent hard work and outstanding results.”
Pure Comms specialises in lines/calls, VoIP (voice over internet protocol), leased lines, cabling, mobiles, wi-fi services for businesses as well as IT support.
It works across multiple sectors, including construction, professional services, recruitment, food and drink and oil and gas, with blue-chip clients such as Bristol Airport, St Austell Brewery, Redrock Consulting, BWOC and Britannia Windows.
