Bristol law firm TLT has advised on the sale of UK electronic products distributor Rapid Electronics to German group CONRAD Electronic, one of Europe’s leading electronics mail order retailers.
Following the deal, Rapid Electronics’ Colchester base will act as the headquarters for Hirschau, Bavaria, based CONRAD’s expansion into the UK market.
Rapid Electronics managing director and co-founder Mike Lee said: “We were delighted with the advice and support that we received from the team at TLT. They worked closely with us throughout the process and their experience and commitment ensured we could complete the deal on time.”
The TLT team was led by corporate partner Andrew Webber, pictured, and associate Peter Naylor.
Mr Webber said: “This was a great deal for us to work on. It provides the owners with an excellent return on their years spent building up the business and sees them starting a new chapter as part of a large, reputable group with ambitious plans for the UK and European market.”
TLT’s corporate team was described as having a “can-do attitude accompanied by high levels of customer service and responsiveness” in Chambers 2013, the independent guide to the legal sector.
The team advises on the range of corporate services across industry sectors, acting for UK and international clients. It recently advised Rileys, Britain’s biggest snooker and pool club chain, on its sale – a deal which secured the jobs of more than 625 employees.
