Accountancy and financial services firm Smith & Williamson has promoted three of its Bristol-based senior employees following sustained periods of success.
Martyn Fraser and Paul Tucker have are appointed to the role of director while Paul Waller has been promoted to associate director.
Martyn has extensive experience of mid-market corporate finance work for both public and private companies encompassing mergers and acquisitions, fund raising and strategic advisory roles.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a member of its Corporate Finance Faculty. Martyn is also approved by the London Stock Exchange to act as a Nominated Advisor for AIM-listed companies. His promotion brings the number of directors in the Bristol corporate finance team to eight making it one of the largest teams in the region.
Paul Tucker has more than 30 years' tax experience. Originally with HM Revenue & Customs, he has been with the firm for more than 20 years and advises on all aspects of tax and national insurance and lectures nationally on the subject.
A Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of their national employment taxes committee, Paul specialises in complex employment tax issues including termination packages and negotiating with HM Revenue & Customs. His new role will see him continue to develop Employment Tax Services both at a local and national level.
Paul Waller joined Smith & Williamson in 2005 and has 18 years’ experience in marketing management positions across a range of industries. In his position as associate director, Paul is responsible for the strategy, development and implementation of all marketing activity for the Bristol office. This includes the promotion and lead generation activity for Smith & Williamson’s full range of corporate and private client services.
