Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Sally Larkin, centre manager at Access Creative College Bristol, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Cadillac Records on DVD and, in the cinema, A Star is Born, which I thought was brilliant and the performances were fantastic.

Book you read? I am in the middle of two currently, but I recently devoured ‘Robert Galbraith’s’ The Strike Series. JK Rowling is such a clever writer and I Ioved the depictions of modern London.

Music you bought/downloaded? Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Queen’s The Ultimate Collection, both are for my 10 year old for Christmas who has decided he is a huge fan quite recently.

Concert or play you went to? Kruder & Dorfmeister at The Roundhouse in Camden.

Sporting event you attended? The closest is an indoor BMX park as a spectator.

Holiday you went on? Tenerife with a bunch of mates and their kids. It was so nice to have warmth and sunshine in early November.

Restaurant you ate in? A Thai place called The Tamarind Tree in Norwich with my colleagues from Access Creative College.

Thing that annoyed you? Trump tweets, but the climate change policies and denials really disgust me. I am also annoyed when some Brits say, “we need someone like Trump to sort out Brexit…” on 5Live.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? Something silly sent to me on Facebook involving an out-of-tune recorder performance of Ave Maria.

Piece of good advice you were given? Always follow a difficult but completed to-do list with treating yourself.

Sally Larkin is centre manager at Access Creative College Bristol. Now in its 26th academic year, Access Creative College (ACC) is the UK’s leading games, music and media college, serving more than 2,000 learners across seven UK Centres. ACC has been in Bristol since 1992, where up until now it’s been based out of its renowned rehearsal and studio facility in Hengrove. Next year will mark the next phase of ACC’s evolution in the region with a new 12,000 sq ft campus in the city centre, which will open in Spring. Operating as England’s largest private training provider, ACC now offers courses in Games, Media, Music and Events, and is investing heavily to broaden its offering to enable more young people in the Bristol area to enter the creative industries.
