Each week Bristol Business News lets a prominent member of the area’s business community have the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week Peter Quintana, director of High Growth Knowledge Company, answers our 10 questions:

What was the LAST:

Film you watched?  Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) starring Michael Keaton and directed by Alejandro Iñárritu. Hollywood poking fun at itself doesn’t get any better than this. Quirky, black comedy with a vicious script.

Book you read? Reinventing Organisations by Frederic Laloux – it’s the book on business organisation I’ve been waiting to read all my life!

Music you bought/downloaded?  Zeitgeist – my son plays bass in this jazz trio formed at Leeds College of Music. This is their debut CD, and I love it. (Of course, I would say that…).

Concert or play you went to? Zeitgeist at the Bird Cage in Bristol. Although they mainly play in and around Leeds, this was a rare opportunity to see them nearer to home.

Sporting event you attended?  Bath Rugby – I am a season ticket holder.

Holiday you went on?  Last autumn, My wife and I went to the Lancaster jazz festival in where Zeitgeist were playing. We also saw the Dennis Rollins Velocity Trio, who were excellent.

Restaurant you ate in?  Il Michelangelo in Weston-super-Mare. It’s owned by one of our clients, and serves some of the best seafood I have ever eaten.

Thing that annoyed you?  A broadcast of Question Time a few weeks ago where the panel seemed intent only on talking over each other. Normally, David Dimbleby is an excellent chair, but this edition was unwatchable.

Thing that made you laugh out loud?  England defeating Wales at the Millennium Stadium. After the singing, the noise and the fireworks had died down, Jonathan Joseph’s try in the 2nd half was enough to make every Englishman laugh (and every Welshman cry!). And he plays for Bath…

Piece of good advice you were given?  We should not be afraid to tell people how good we are at what we do. It’s a very British thing to ‘keep our powder dry’, but if we really believe we are good at something, we should not be worried about saying so.
