Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Faye Dicker, voiceover artist, radio presenter and founder of the Freelance Mum networking group, answers our 10 questions.
Film you watched? The Secret Life of Pets – I can’t actually remember the last time I watched a grown up film of my choice!
Book you read? The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet. I just finished reading it for the third bedtime in a row this week. I’m spotting a theme here… I currently have Karren Brady’s autobiography, half read, by my bed too. One day I might get to finish it.
Music you bought/downloaded? Massive Attack – Blue Lines. An absolute favourite when I was at college, but recently downloaded it again.
Concert or play you went to? Massive Attack on the Downs this summer. Amazing.
Sporting event you attended? Gosh, I really have no idea now. The tug of war at the family field day? My daughter’s swimming lesson? Getting both children out of the house every day is usually a sporting event.
Holiday you went on? A week in the caravan at Westward Ho! They are nothing but pure family fun. I love them. We’ve been holidaying there for years now, before we had children and I’ve always loved it. I gave birth to Jemima when I was on holiday four years ago and it’s where my husband proposed to me, so it’s a very special place.
Restaurant you ate in? The Lido in Clifton. My favourite place – ‘my space’. I’ve been a member there for years, I used to swim there after I’d finished doing the early travel bulletins at the BBC just over the road. I kept the membership up, after I left and swim there every Saturday at 7am. This week I managed cheeky tapas one night as well. The best.
Thing that annoyed you? Hmmm. Not sure. Not being able to come up with a good answer to this question. Annoying.
Thing that made you laugh out loud? Discovering my two year old was cleaning the floor with some hand cream. Oh how I laughed….
Piece of good advice you were given? Done is better than perfect. A great piece of advice, for someone like me, who is idea rich and time poor.
