Ellen Green graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a first-class degree in Arts and Cultural Management and then went on to be business manager for Power Amp Music, an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) financing artists. The fund was an innovative alternative to record label funding, raising more than £4m and signing lucrative deals with artist such as Madness and Charlotte Church. In 2011 she made her first Blue Badge wallet and, armed with e-commerce and online marketing skills, she executed the launch of the product, developing the sales channels and managed distribution. Now, aged just 30, Ellen is sole director of the fast-growing Blue Badge Company and one of the country’s most dynamic young female entrepreneurs with a string of awards to her name. Under her leadership, Blue Badge Company has sold more than 100,000 of its wallets across the UK.
