Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Haines Watts Bristol director Conor O’Sullivan answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched: The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

Book you read: Ronnie O’Sullivan – Unbreakable.

Music you bought/downloaded: Essential Christmas Album on Apple Music.

Concert or play you went to see: Dick Whittington at The Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare.

Sporting event you attended: The British Formula One Grand Prix 2023.

Holiday you went on: China.

Restaurant you ate in: Las Iguanas.

Thing that annoyed you: My car battery died.

Thing that made you laugh out loud: Hmmm.. can’t remember – most likely something on TV.

Piece of good advice you were given: To install a key safe! I had a recent experience of being locked out.

Conor O’Sullivan was recently promoted to director in the Bristol office of accountants Haines Watts, seven years after he joined the firm and just 13 months since he was appointed associate director. Conor gave up the dream of becoming a professional footballer – having been at Southampton FC’s academy followed by a year at the Nike Academy at Loughborough University in 2013 – when injury and a lack of opportunity forced him to reassess his career opportunities.
