Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week  Charlotte Raynes, commercial director of Amarelle – office design and build specialists, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Alan Bennett’s The Lady in the Van with a brilliant portrayal by Maggie Smith.

Book you read? Hanns and Rudolf: The true story of the German Jew who tracked down and caught the Kommandant of Auschwitz, by Thomas Harding.

Music you bought/downloaded? Hotel California, The Eagles

Concert or play you went to? Goldilock, Stock & Three Smoking Bears at The Wardrobe Theatre, Old Market, with the team from the office.

Sporting event you attended? Bristol Surf Club’s Annual Surf Competition in Woolacombe.

Holiday you went on? Walking in the Lake District, to finish climbing Scafell Pike which I last attempted aged 13 and had to turn back in bad weather. Made it to the top this time!

Restaurant you ate in? The Historical Dining Rooms, The Black Door, Totterdown.

Thing that annoyed you? Renewing my passport and not being allowed to smile in the photo.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? The team in the Amarelle office every single day. Despite a busy schedule we always find time to have a good laugh with and at each other.

Piece of good advice you were given? “Worry about the things you can control, not the things you can’t.”
