Bristol and London law firm Temple Bright has completed another high-profile corporate deal – an acquisition for leading catering equipment supplier Nisbets – as the firm continues to expand in both locations.
The firm advised Avonmouth-headquartered Nisbets on its takeover of Mitre Linen, a manufacturer of linens and soft furnishings based in Merthyr Tydfil, which completed last month. 
Nisbets were also advised on the deal by PricewaterhouseCoopers. The sellers were advised by Ashurst and KPMG.
Mitre provides linen products including bedding, bathrobes, toweling and table linen to the hospitality industry in more than 50 countries.
It has held a Royal Warrant since 1955 to supply furnishing fabrics and bedding to the UK royal household.
Temple Bright’s eight partner team was led by corporate lawyer Jonathan Poole, pictured, who said: “It was a privilege to advise Nisbets on this acquisition which is an exciting step forward for the company.

Family-owned Nisbets, considered to be Europe’s largest supplier of commercial catering equipment, has around 1,800 employees and worldwide revenues of more than £300m.
Its customers include restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, hotels, professional chefs and caterers.
Earlier this year it acquired a controlling stake in Space Catering (UK).

The firm operates a streamlined, tech-enabled business model in which clients are advised exclusively by senior lawyers, often working opposite City and large regional firms operating the traditional delegation-based approach.
