Law firm Bond Dickinson’s Bristol-based recruitment team is celebrating after climbing two national employment rankings and being shortlisted for two awards.
Bond Dickinson, which has offices in seven cities across the UK including London, has been lept 103 places to rank at 126 in the top 300 graduate employers list in this year’s Guardian UK 300.
The firm has also been included in the UK’s 100 most popular employers for school leavers survey produced by Trendence and at 75 is the highest-placed law firm.
The table is the UK’s first employer ranking survey aimed at school and FE college students. The results revealed the most popular employers as voted for by 9,000 year 10-13 students.
Bond Dickinson’s recruitment team was shortlisted for two awards by LawCareers.Net Training and Recruitment Awards in the Best Trainer and Best Work Placement Scheme in a large national firm categories respectively.
Head of recruitment Sam Lee, pictured, said: “As a firm we are definitely punching above our weight. I am delighted with our recent achievements, to be ranked 126th in the top 300 graduate employers is a fantastic result. There were 67 law firms and we rank 13th among them.
“Our impressive results are down to a fantastic team and our commitment to our school leaver initiatives such as the Legal Apprenticeship schemes, which were first piloted in our onshore team, mentoring programmes, work experience placements with local schools and the activities that we support through social mobility programmes such as PRIME and Pathways to Law.
“Our application process, for the third cohort of legal apprentices, has just closed and we’re currently reviewing all the applications and looking forward to meeting some of the candidates very soon.”
In the past 12 months Bond Dickinson has made six lateral hires and recruited 225 people and 27 new trainees.
