Iconic sportswear brand Puma is to open a showroom in Bristol to showcase its new and upcoming collections to retail buyers.
The base, which will not be accessible to the public, will be at Bath Road Studios, the landmark former HTV building which has been converted to office and creative workshop space.
German-owned Puma, which produces athletic and casual sportswear, has taken 1,630 sq ft of space in the building on a new five-year lease. The showroom was previously based in Newport, South Wales.
The deal leaves just 8,000 sq ft of the original 67,000 sq ft available to let at the showpiece building. Owner Cube Real Estate spent £1.2m refurbishing it, remodelling its reception area to create an open, contemporary space with a spacious break-out area.
Occupiers include ITV West Country, café Friska, Hurricane Media, Films@59, Wattle and Colour & Thing.
It is also home to The Set, an innovative workspace that operates as a membership club where like-minded businesses can network and share skills and ideas. Its collaborative base removes the isolation of working from home, while offering contemporary facilities.
Ruari Laidlaw of Cube Real Estate said: “We are delighted to welcome such a well-known brand to Bath Road Studios, which is increasingly attracting a real variety of businesses, from small start-up companies to big multinationals like Puma.”
The offices are being marketed by leasing agents Knight Frank and JLL.
