Land owners and land agents will have the opportunity to get to grips with the latest regulatory and tax changes at a seminar taking place in Bristol this month.
The annual tax update seminar run by accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson will include presentations on VAT, auto enrolment, and employment and capital taxes, as well as a question-and-answer session with an expert panel followed by a buffet lunch and networking.
Smith & Williamson partner and chairman of the landed estates group Jerry Barnes, who is based in the firm’s Bristol office, said: “It is extremely challenging for land agents, whether resident or as part of a consultancy firm – not to mention land owners themselves – to keep on top of ongoing and important changes to tax legislation and annual case law.
“Our annual tax update seminars are usually very well attended and we look forward to a strong turnout again this year.”
The event is at Leigh Court, near Bristol, on November 20. Smith & Williamson acts for a large number of landed estates in the West of England and across the UK, providing a full accountancy and tax service.
