Bristol-based dental group Dentina has acquired its sixth practice – with expert advice from city-based commercial law firm Meade King – and also launched a new specialist referral centre.
Dentina’s takeover of the Clifton Dental Surgery in Clifton Village – which specialises in general, cosmetic and implant surgery – takes its total number of staff to 85.
Alex Hall, a partner in Meade King’s company and commercial team, advised Dentina on all legal aspects of its latest acquisition. The law firm is nationally recognised for the commercial and regulatory advice it provides to dentists, having completed the sale or purchase of more than 360 dental practices to date. It is currently advising on a further 89.
Property aspects of the deal were dealt with by Meade King partner Heidi Bateman.
The firm has previously advised Dentina on several matters relating to its Parrys Lane Dental Practice in Stoke Bishop – where its new state-of-the-art multidisciplinary practice and referral service – called the Bristol & Southwest Specialist Dental & Implant Centre – is based, along with the Nordea Dental Clinique in Clifton, and the acquisition of both the Linden Lodge Dental Care practice in Clevedon and Patchway Dental Practice.

More than 100 guests, including dentists from across the region attended a special dinner under the wings of Concorde at the Aerospace Bristol museum to celebrate the launch of the new referral service.
Practitioners from centre, who are all leading clinicians in their fields, spoke about the latest cutting-edge techniques in dental medicine.
As well as being nationally recognised for the high-quality commercial and regulatory advice it provides to dentists and other healthcare providers, Meade King also advises a wide range of commercial organisations including care homes, pharmacies, GP surgeries and technology businesses.
In addition, the single-office firm’s lawyers have particular expertise in areas such as commercial property, business sales and acquisitions, construction contracts, dispute resolution and employment law.
