Property consultancy GL Hearn has relocated its West office from Bath to Bristol, taking 2,468 sq ft of open plan office space in the prestigious Queen Square House.

The firm works with developers, investors and occupiers from offices in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Sunderland and Southampton.

Bill Russell of Hearn said: “The relocation from Bath will allow our team to better service our clients. Bristol is widely regarded as the business capital of the South West and our decision to relocate to the city was largely centered on our need to have a more prominent presence in the region.

“From our new base in Queen Square we will be better equipped to provide the very best property consultancy services to our existing clients as well as being in a prime location to support our business growth plans.”

The letting was secured by property agents DTZ’s Bristol office on behalf of CBRE Investors

Queen Square House, pictured below, is a character office building, laid out over five floors. Suites are available in the building from 230 sq ft-3,908 sq ft.

DTZ Bristol surveyor Andy Smith said: “We are delighted to welcome GL Hearn to the building. The market for this type of accommodation in this location is very competitive. The decision to spend money on a building refurbishment in the current economic climate is always a difficult one but in this instance it has paid dividends.

“Since the refurbishment we have had some real success at the building with the letting to GL Hearn and a surge in viewings resulting in a further 1,000 sq ft now under offer via our joint agents Hartnell Taylor Cook”.
