National law firm Clarke Willmott continues to grow its private client services team with the appointment of Gillian Kennedy-Smith as a senior associate in its Bristol office.
Gillian, pictured, who qualified in 2006, joins from offshore firm Carey Olsen in Guernsey, where she worked in one of the largest private client teams in the Channel Islands.
She specialises in advising trust companies, directors and business owners on the best ways to protect wealth across generations, especially concerning foreign assets or other international aspects of their estates.
She also has experience of working with accountants and financial advisors on estate planning and dealing with the administration of large estates.
Clarke Willmott partner and managing director of its private client team, Anthony Fairweather, said: “Gillian will lead international estate planning across our team, which is a growing part of our portfolio. She undoubtedly strengthens our client-focused approach, which has led to a 65% growth in turnover in the last three years, making us one of the largest private client teams in the South West.”
