The Bristol office of specialist property sector consultancy Ridge and Partners has completed internal refurbishment work at one of the city’s landmark office buildings.
The two-year project at 3 Temple Quay involved completely updating the reception area, atrium and washrooms facilities.
The nine-story building is home to a number of major businesses including law firm Womble Bond Dickinson, branding agency Mr B & Friends, HSBC and Curtis Bank.
A number of Ridge teams collaborated on the project, commissioned by the building’s owner M&G Real Estate, including design, building surveying, mechanical and engineering (M&E) and cost management.
Work involved overhauling the toilets across eight floors and the basement shower facilities, fitting new interior walls on each level in the atrium and updating the windows and lobby areas on each floor, as well as bringing in furnishings and signage to the reception space and entrance.
Ridge building surveying partner Greg Aston, who is based in its Bristol office, said: “The project had its challenges as we needed to ensure disruption was kept to a minimum for existing tenants, but we worked closely with the building managers to ensure the works progressed as planned whilst maintaining a live working environment.”
Ridge launched its Bristol office in 1988 and is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary in the city. It has worked on a range of projects across the city including the redevelopment of Hartwell House on Victoria Street into premium offices, the Airbus Aerospace Park in Filton and the design and build of the Knowle West Media Centre, as well as on a number of projects for the John Cabot Academy.
