The Bristol office of accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson has appointed Roger Perry to help its private clients explore their retirement options.
Roger, pictured, has almost 30 years’ financial services experience, including an in-depth knowledge of pensions and inheritance tax planning. 
He joins Smith & Williamson’s financial services team as a senior consultant from Wiltshire and Somerset accountants Monahans, where he worked for 15 years, most recently as a director.
He said: “This is an interesting time to be helping people to plan for their retirement. The new pension freedoms provide people with more choices than ever before which is an exciting prospect but one which many also, understandably, find very daunting.
“With increased choices come greater challenges and responsibilities. I look forward to working closely with my new colleagues at Smith & Williamson to advise clients on the pitfalls and opportunities associated with the new pension regime, as well as other matters.”
