Experienced recruitment professional Daniel Young is joining Opus as sales manager for its recently refurbished Bristol head office.
Daniel, pictured, spent seven years working in the technology sector at Computer Futures’ Bristol office, where he reached management level in record time. In 2014 he won the sales team manager of the year accolade after placing more than 250 candidates.
Opus said Daniel’s “exceptional client focus, teamed with his ability to penetrate an array of business areas and deliver effectively at all levels” would allow him to spearhead its move into the embedded engineering sector and provide a new offering to the markets in which the group is already established.
Plans are in place to double the three-strong embedded engineering team by the first half of next year.
Daniel said: “I’ve chosen to join the Opus family as I’ve been impressed with their growth plans over the last five years, as well as their projected growth for the next five.
“Everything about the company indicates a successful business; from the training programme, the back office team, the structure, right through to the consultants on the floor. They are growing company who are only going one way.
“The opportunity for me to set up the engineering division was too good to turn down and I’m honestly excited about the prospect of growing the team to compliment with the already well-established IT business.”
Meanwhile, the refurbishment of Opus’ Bristol HQ is providing 30% more space for continued growth. The group has been recognised by the Virgin Fast Track 100 for four years.
Since being founded in 2008, Opus has expanded rapidly and now has offices in London, Manchester, Sydney, Amsterdam and New York as well as Bristol with further international office openings planned for next year.
