Evelyn Partners, the national integrated wealth management and professional services group, has strengthened its assurance and business services (ABS) team in Bristol with a number of promotions.
They include Ben Hamar, who becomes a director in the national assurance technical group, Sarah Fox, who is now an associate director in the audit team, and Alison Kingaby, who specialises in pensions audit and has also been promoted associate director.
An Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) qualified accountant and auditor, Ben trained with KPMG before joining what was then Smith & Williamson in 2006, as a qualified audit senior.
His role in the national assurance technical group includes providing financial reporting, audit and assurance support to Evelyn Partners’ teams.
Sarah has 13 years’ audit experience, advising medium-sized and large businesses, having joined Smith & Williamson in 2021 from Ernst & Young (now EY), while Alison also joined from Ernst & Young in 2019.
Others moving up in Evelyn Partners’ Bristol office include George Oliver, who becomes a senior audit manager, and Emily Fleet and Justyna Kukielka, who both become assistant managers in the business outsourcing services team.
George has significant experience working with growing private and listed businesses, having also previously worked with Ernst & Young in Bristol before joining Evelyn Partners last year.
Emily specialises in working with high-growth businesses of varying sizes and has built up an all-round knowledge of management, statutory and VAT reporting, while Justyna has more than eight years’ experience in accountancy having joined the group as an accounts assistant in 2019.

Evelyn Partners was formed a year ago following the merger of Smith & Williamson with Tilney.
The firm has £53bn of assets under management, making it the UK’s fifth largest professional services business by fee income.
