Two members of real estate agency Colliers International’s rating team in Bristol have been promoted as part of a string of promotions across its UK offices.
Ben Batchelor-Wylam has been made a director while Daniel Johnstone is now an associate director.
Both are members of Colliers’ rating team covering the South West and South Wales – a key growth sector for the Bristol office, according to office head Tim Davies.
He said: “I am delighted that the pivotal role Ben and Daniel have played in this has been recognised in these promotions.
“The complexities of the new business rates appeals system have resulted in unprecedented demands for professional guidance, and the expertise of our rating team has been producing impressive results for businesses across a range of sectors.”
Ben gained a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Management at Nottingham Trent University before starting his career at a niche Mayfair-based investment firm in 2000. He then moved to a partnership firm of chartered surveyors for three years, during which he began working in business rates. He joined the Colliers International rating team at the firm’s London office in 2005 and three years later relocated to set up the rating team in Bristol, which is now six-strong.
Daniel joined Colliers’ Bristol office in 2011 after also graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Management. This included a one-year placement with Domino’s Pizza UK and Ireland in its estates department. This is his third promotion since joining Colliers.
Colliers International UK CEO Tony Horrell said: “We place great importance on developing talent from within and I’d like to personally congratulate all who have been promoted and look forward to seeing them develop further as they continue on in their careers at Colliers International.”
