Co-working space and community hub Origin Workspace has staged a gala event to celebrate five years since it opened its doors.
Over that time it has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups. Today the premium co-working and meeting venue in Berkeley Square has more than 600 members, as well as an alumni of success stories who have gone on to grow and establish themselves as leaders in their sector.
More 200 people attended the anniversary event, which include cocktails and food, a live band and, in fitting with its branding, an orange instead of a red carpet.
Origin Workspace managing director Rob Hingston said; “Having been here since the very start, it’s quite amazing to think we have now been open for five years.
“It has been incredible to watch this space transform from a shabby looking 70’s office building, into one of the leading co-working spaces in the region.”
“But the greatest pleasure I have had over that time is watching all the entrepreneurs, start-ups, scale ups, and freelancers that have come through those doors and grown to become incredibly successful.
“We have had one-person operations join us that have now turned into businesses with over 20 or 30 members of staff, and seeing those success stories happen within the space is the greatest achievement.
Heather Frankham, Founder of Origin Workspace, added; “To see the growth of this community and the amazing success stories that have come out of this space is so incredibly inspiring.
“Business leaders from all walks of life, across almost sector ever passed through these doors and have all helped to create the Origin success story.
“This space was designed specifically to allow businesses to start, grow and scale with us, and to look back now after five years I would like to say that we have succeeded in doing that.”
The 42,000 sq ft building also includes a gym, studio and roof terrace with panoramic views.
