Alderley, the South Gloucestershire engineering group specialising in liquid and gas metering, water treatment packages and hydraulic control systems, has promoted Nick Hull to chief operating officer. In his new role he will focus on providing strategic direction and operational support to Alderley’s successful and growing metering business.
Nick, pictured, joined Wickwar-based Alderley in 1992 and led the start-up of Alderley FZE as general manager from 2000 to 2003, returning to the UK as managing director of Alderley Systems. He relocated to the Middle East again in 2007 as managing director at both of Alderley’s subsidiary companies in Middle East, Alderley Industrial Company Damman, Saudi Arabia and Alderley FZE, UAE.
While in the Middle East, he built strong technical and management teams and a business recognised as a world-class, high-tech engineering business, securing and executing orders ranging from $1m to more than $30m.
Alderley chief executive officer Chris McGeehan said: “Nick’s experience obtained during his time at Alderley has seen him be involved in some of the firsts in the industry. I am confident that in his new position he will continue to successfully identify opportunities from new and existing markets to further develop our metering products and services to allow Alderley to remain at the forefront of metering technology.”
