Specialist business advisory firm FRP has promoted two of its Bristol office senior staff to its national partnership following a year of growth.

Jonathan Dunn and Matt Whitchurch, pictured, have been made partners in the firm’s restructuring advisory and financial advisory teams respectively.

Jonathan has worked in the restructuring profession since 2003 and has a wealth of experience across a range of sectors.

His focus is supporting businesses and their stakeholders with options and strategies during times of distress.

Matt has worked in the profession since 2007 and has a number of specialisms, including providing financial due diligence services, conducting pre-lend reviews, business reviews on behalf of lenders and employer covenant reviews.

FRP restructuring advisory partner and location lead in the South West, Andrew Sheridan, said: “This is a particularly proud day for the Bristol team in its ongoing growth story.

“The promotions are very well-merited and it’s always pleasing to be part of a business which has the capacity to reward hard work and exceptional performance. Both Jonathan and Matt are already well-established operators in the regional market.”

FRP COO Jeremy French said the promotions recognised the valuable contributions that its staff had made to FRP’s ongoing success.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to see them continue to fulfil their potential,” he added:

“This latest round of promotions speaks to the breadth and depth of talent in our organisation, and the opportunity for colleagues to progress and build successful careers here.

“During 2023, we will continue to recruit and invest in our people to support our growth, which is built on close collaboration between our five service pillars to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients as the UK economy continues to evolve.

The promotions come after a year of growth for FRP, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.

The firm employs more than 570 employees, including 88 partners, across its 26 UK offices. One of the UK’s largest independent business advisory firms, it specialises in corporate restructuring, corporate finance, forensic services, financial advisory and debt advisory.
