Steve Oades, the head of global property consultancy Knight Frank’s Bristol commercial office, has been promoted to proprietary partner.
Steve, pictured, is one of only a handful of Knight Frank staff based in the UK regions to achieve the status at the limited liability partnership. In total, 10 staff globally have been promoted to proprietary partner out of 411 offices in 59 countries and a workforce of more than 14,000 people.
As well as acting as a traditional partner, a proprietary partner also has a financial stake in the business, usually through owning shares.
Steve joined Knight Frank in 2006 and was investment partner before becoming head of the Bristol office in 2012. His promotion to proprietary partner takes effect from April 1.
He said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to join the proprietary partnership and consider it a real honour. Knight Frank is great business to be part of and I am fortunate to lead a very talented team who are well respected in their markets.”
Knight Frank senior partner and group chairman Alistair Elliott said: “I am delighted to announce this selection of promotions to proprietary partner, demonstrating the depth and breadth of our platform and the calibre of our people across the business.
“At Knight Frank we know that our people are our most important asset. I believe that our partnership structure allows us to acknowledge this fact and promote the benefits to our clients – the best possible advice and the highest level of service. I wish all those being promoted my sincerest congratulations.”
The group advises clients ranging from individual owners and buyers to major developers, investors and corporate tenants.
