South West law firm Michelmores has strengthened its banking and finance team in Bristol with the appointment of Asheesh Das as a partner.
Ash, pictured, joins from McGuireWoods, a leading US law firm renowned for its banking work and where he was a partner in its London office.
He was previously a partner at Stephenson Harwood in Singapore and London, where he was responsible for developing the asset and infrastructure finance practice in Asia. He has also worked with Freshfields and Clifford Chance in Singapore and London.
He has advised commercial lenders, government agencies, borrowers and sponsors on landmark projects, particularly in Asia.
His clients have included major multinational corporates and banks, development finance institutions, and shipping and commodities companies, including HSBC, Asian Development Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Deutsche Bank.
Michelmores’ banking team specialises in project and asset financing in the energy and transportation sectors.
