Regional law firm Michelmores has strengthened its real estate and private wealth practices with the appointment of two highly regarded partners.
Dhana Sabanathan joins the firm, which has offices in Bristol, Exeter and London, as a partner in the tax, trusts & succession team – part of the firm’s private wealth group – while Julie Sharpe arrives as a partner in its growing transactional real estate team. 
Dhana, pictured below, previously worked at Winckworth Sherwood, the full-service law firm with offices in London, Manchester and Oxford, and where she was a partner in its private business & wealth team.
Her appointment will strengthen and build the successful private wealth services Michelmores provides to ultra-high net worth and international clients.
Winckworth Sherwood private business & wealth team associate James Gribbin will also be joining the firm’s private client department this month.

Julie, pictured below, was previously a senior associate in the Cheltenham office of national law firm Charles Russell Speechlys, where she was instrumental in developing a respected real estate strategic land practice. She trained at Mills & Reeve, qualifying in 2007 before moving to Eversheds.
Bringing expertise in acting on land transactions and experience of working for both private landowners and developers, she joins colleagues and partners Chris Massey and Helen Hutton, who joined Michelmores’ private wealth team from Charles Russell Speechlys in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Julie said: “I look forward to joining the team at Michelmores. I have long been impressed by the culture and differentiation of the firm which has been evidenced by the energy and enthusiasm of all those I have met so far.
“The strategic land focus of my practice will dovetail nicely with the firm’s development work and service its growing private wealth client base.
