Annual global revenues have risen by 15% to €195m (£141m) at Bristol-headquartered international law firm Osborne Clarke, it announced this week.
The figures, for the 2014/15 financial year, mean the firm’s international revenues have grown by more than 60% over the past three years. UK revenues increased by 9% to £96.5m (€123.7m), with its UK sector groups now accounting for 93% of its UK revenues.
During the year the firm took on six UK lateral partner hires, including a new two-partner private wealth team, and made five UK partnership promotions.
It advised Carphone Warehouse on its £3.6bn merger with Dixons Retail, Patisserie Valerie on its £170m IPO and Funding Circle on a Round E $150m fundraising.
Internationally, it opened an office in Amsterdam and established a strategic alliance with new Hong Kong firm John Koh & Co.
UK managing partner Ray Berg, pictured, said: “This has been a stunning year for Osborne Clarke and it’s a real privilege for me to be able to announce such great results so soon after being elected.
“Much credit for these results goes to our previous managing partner Simon Beswick, but most importantly to our incredibly focused and hard-working team.”
He said many clients were now trusting the firm with increasingly higher-value mandates.
“We’ve already hit the ground running for the 2015/16 financial year. We have many initiatives in progress that will benefit our clients, our people and our business over the coming 12 months.”
