International law firm Osborne Clarke, which has a major office in Bristol, has promoted one of its litigators to partner.
Mary Lawrence, pictured, is a member of the firm’s commercial and regulatory disputes team with a focus on health and safety.
Her practice involves advising and defending large corporate businesses and other public and private sector organisations on associated health and safety regulations, the Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act and other legislation regulated by local authorities, trading standards and the police.
She has been recognised by the respected legal directory Chambers as an associate to watch for her health and safety work and has been described as “always [taking] the trouble to fully understand the issues and quickly [providing] a response with options that can be explored”.
Mary, who joined Osborne Clarke in 2014, qualified as a lawyer in 2005 and was shortly afterwards admitted as a higher courts advocate shortly thereafter.
She is one of three recent associate directors at the firm’s UK partnership. Also being made up to partners are corporate lawyers Jeffrey Chang, who based in the firm’s Reading office and has a sector focus on digital business, technology and automotive – and Matthew Bodfield, in its London office and who has a focus on the real estate and recruitment sectors.
Osborne Clarke UK managing partner Ray Berg said: “We are extremely impressed by the calibre of these talented colleagues. Each individual demonstrates commitment to providing high-quality advice and guidance, contributes to our on-going international success, and delivers on our promise of helping our clients achieve success in tomorrow’s world.”
