Five senior promotions have been made in the Bristol office of international legal practice Osborne Clarke.
They include four new partners and a legal director at the firm, which has its roots in Bristol and now employs more than 400 people in the city.
Combined with partner promotions in its London and Cologne offices, they take the total number across Osborne Clarke’s global network partnership to 236.
Over the past year the firm made 23 international partner hires across Europe and Asia – 35% of them women.
The new Bristol-based partners are:
- Helen Parsonage, who works in the financial services sector and specialises in fund formation,
- Simon Jones, an expert in venture capital and private equity investments and exits in the digital business and financial services sectors,
- David Shakesby, who focuses on property disputes, contentious planning and public law in the energy, utilities, real estate and infrastructure sectors
- Marc Shrimpling, is a competition law expert working in the transport, automotive, life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Along with these promotions, litigator and head of Osborne Clarke’s aerospace and defence sector group Douglas Peden has been promoted to legal director.
