Bristol’s diverse and innovative music scene is to be celebrated in a new TV show to be produced by the city’s award-winning community radio station BCfm and independent company Red Dog Productions.
The Bristol Music Show, which launches next Friday, will be screened on Made in Bristol TV. The first episode boasts unique and exclusive performances, interviews and features on a wide range of musicians, venues and events.
Financial backing for the show is being sought through the Bristol social and creative crowd-funding platform Fundsurfer. https://www.fundsurfer.com/bristolmusicshow
BCfm station manager Pat Hart said: “We are the only station in the city that comprehensively covers every genre of Bristol music, from classical to reggae and metal to hip-hop.
“The Bristol Music Show is currently a weekly radio programme, broadcasting on BCfm 93.2. The show features live acoustic sessions, interviews, music news and discussions about local music, ran by a collective of volunteers who support and celebrate Bristol’s vibrant musical talents.”
Red Dog Productions was founded in 2012 with the aim oing provide a local, independent ’boutique’ style video production service to fringe acts and local causes.
The Bristol Music Show is dedicated to representing the Bristol music scene via pop-up events, exclusive performances and interviews, local features and more as well as helping support and sustain the exposure of local artists.
All Bristol music fans are being encouraging to get involved and support the show, by pledging on FundSurfer for a range of rewards donated by artists, promoters and venues.
All funds will go directly into creating a bigger and better show for Bristol artists.
The first show will air on Friday November 6 at 8pm.
