Experienced Chartered Tax Adviser Ben Branson has been promoted to tax partner at regional accountancy and business advisory firm Milsted Langdon.
The firm, which has one of its five offices in Bristol, said Ben’s promotion underscored its commitment to excellence and its reputation as a national leader in tax consultancy. It also comes as the firm continues to expand its acclaimed tax practice.
Milsted Langdon said Ben, pictured, who joined the firm two years ago from accountants Azets, where he was a senior tax manager, has “profound knowledge and a proactive approach that enable him to offer exceptional tax compliance and advice”.
His work primarily focuses on private clients, partnerships, estates and both onshore and offshore trusts.
Milsted Langdon, which also has offices in Bath, Taunton, Yoevil and London, added: “His client-centred philosophy ensures that he not only understands their aspirations but also delivers bespoke advice that combines tax savings with compliance and the latest personal tax regulations.
“Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Ben excels in international taxation and UK residency and domicile issues, while also providing expert guidance on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Inheritance Tax (IHT).”
In addition to being a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser, Ben, who has also worked for A C Mole & Sons, EY and Coutts, is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a Fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
Ben, who was previously tax director, said: “It is a real honour to be taking on this new role at Milsted Langdon.
“I am looking forward to expanding my expertise further, as I support our clients with ever-changing tax legislation to ensure that they can make the most of their money.”
Milsted Langdon chair Simon Rowe added: “Ben’s promotion is integral to our strategic growth and strengthens our ability to offer in-depth tax advice tailored to our clients’ unique needs.
“His vast experience and specialised knowledge are invaluable as we continue to enhance our services and uphold the highest standards of tax consultancy.”
Milsted Langdon’s reputation for tax expertise is widely recognised, with the firm shortlisted in the prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Awards for the third year running.
In total the firm has been nominated in the Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm category four times, including winning it in 2016.
This year’s Tolley’s Taxation Awards will be presented on 16 May.
