Accountancy group EY is continuing to expand its financial services (FS) business in Bristol and across its South West and Wales region with the appointment of Ed Bujok-Stone as head of financial services advisory and Raj Saundh as head of actuarial.
Ed, who has spent the past eight years as a senior manager in the Bristol office, will lead EY’s FS advisory practice across the South West and Wales – a team that has grown from five to 30 people in three years, with plans to grow to 100 by 2020.
He specialises in helping clients with risk management, modelling and pricing processes. Ed also holds the role of chief innovation officer for EY in the South West and Wales, leading the research and development of new technology, and helping insurance companies and banks use technology to embrace an ever-evolving business environment.
Raj, who was also previously a senior manager, will lead EY’s FS actuarial practice across the South West and Wales. That team has also grown rapidly to 20 people in three years, with plans to grow by half again by 2020. Raj specialises in advising clients on capital management and optimisation, adherence to financial and regulatory standards and business transformation.
The two appointments follow that of Robin Enstone, who became an associate partner in the South West and Wales region’s expanding assurance FS practice earlier in the year.
EY managing partner of financial services practice for the South West and Wales, Andy Blackmore, said: “Congratulations to Ed, Raj and Robin on their recent promotions. It is great to be able to promote home grown talent.
“We have ambitious plans to grow our financial services team in Bristol, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the thriving financial services sector across the South West and Wales region. They will have important roles to play in leading our teams and assisting our clients and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future as we look to double our team by 2020.”
EY employs 350 people in its Bristol office in The Paragon, Counterslip, covering the South West and Wales.
