Stuff, the Bristol-based creative agency, has expanded with the launch of a presence in Cornwall and a new public relations division.
The agency, which was formed in 2005, works across a range of sectors with clients such as Mars’ Royal Canin pet food brand, the NHS, Destination Bristol and The National Maritime Museum, Cornwall.
Its Cornwall base in Perranporth is led by newly-appointed media and account director Louise Wigmore, supported by designer and art director Chris Wigmore, who was one of the original founding members of Stuff.
The PR offer is headed by former Bristol Post journalist-turned-PR consultant Sarah Rice, who takes on the role of PR director through a joint venture with her Bristol-based consultancy Rice PR.
The company has also made changes to the management and shareholder team, with founding creative director Richard Spruce and managing director Jonnie Galvin-Wright becoming sole shareholders following the decision by production director Ewen Collis to step down last year.
Jonnie said: “South West clients are increasingly looking for clear, integrated thinking from independent creative agencies on their doorstep. We can be more agile and offer better value than bigger, less personal agencies.
“Our Cornwall expansion is central to this as it allows us to be closer to clients and use our specialist sector experience such as destination marketing and marine engineering.
“Creating a PR offer is equally important. It integrates strategy and content and drives our campaigning approach, which is what businesses increasingly need.
“It’s the right time for us and for the people we work with as powerful marketing campaigns help not just build stronger individual businesses but also support stronger economic growth across the region.”
Richard added: “We’ve always been firm believers in simple yet powerful creative ideas and passionate about creating campaigns that cut through. This is something that’s shared by Sarah and the Cornwall team.
“From the client perspective, there’s often a lot of jargon and confusion when it comes to marketing, so we aim to simplify and clarify what makes a great campaign. Our new structure and brand is designed with that in mind.
“We champion straight talking, but it feels that more than ever the marketing world is in need of clear direction, so we’re looking forward to getting stuck in with this enhanced service offer across the South West.”
