Commercial property consultancy Hartnell Taylor Cook (HTC) has appointed Ian Lambert as partner to lead its Bristol office.
Ian, pictured, is a well-known character in the South West property market, having joined HTC in 1991 as a graduate trainee after obtaining a degree in valuation and estate management at what is now known as the University of West of England (UWE).
He learned his business with the practice, initially working in the property management department before moving to the investment and auction department after passing his APC (assessment of professional competence).
Ian worked closely with the then senior partner St John Hartnell, learning how to sell property by auction before moving into general investment agency.
He progressed through the ranks, becoming partner in charge of the investment agency team in 2007 and has continued to be based in Bristol.
He has a great depth of knowledge, having been involved in a number of major investment deals across the region, including some high-profile transactions in the Bristol office market.
He said he was delighted to be appointed to lead the Bristol office. “We have a fantastic team who all work hard and provide a high-quality service for our clients yet also enjoy the workplace,” he said. “It is a real pleasure having started with HTC many years ago to have seen how the business has progressed and be part of this growth.
“HTC has grown substantially since I joined and we now offer many more areas of specialism with the fastest growth being in our facilities management and building consultancy teams and I look forward to announcing further new developments over the next few months.
“The next few years will be challenging with Brexit and as the full impact of the digital age impacts on the workplace and the commercial property market. But I feel confident we at HTC are well placed to react and continue to provide a quality service, especially as we approach our centenary in 2022.”
Managing partner Stuart Howell added: “It’s great to know the Bristol office is in safe hands and I am sure it will continue to flourish and prosper under Ian’s watchful eye.”
HTC also has offices in London and Plymouth.
