DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House Hotel has appointed Brady Smith as its new operations manager.
Brady, pictured, will oversee the day-to-day running of the independent, four-star venue in Congresbury, North Somerset, ensuring the 200-strong team continue to deliver outstanding experiences to guests.
Brady brings a wealth of experience to what is now regarded as among region’s top destination venues incorporating a hotel, restaurant, health club and spa.
He has worked in the hotel and hospitality sector since he was 14, starting out as an apprentice at an independent hotel in Great Yarmouth, before moving to the prominent Marriott brand, working as assistant restaurant and bar manager and eventually food and beverage manager in York and Portsmouth.
Most recently Brady was food and beverage manager at the Holiday Inn, Filton.
He said: “I’ve always loved the hospitality industry; I think it’s in my blood. My granddad’s best friend owned a hotel in California, which we used to visit regularly and I got to see all the behind-the-scenes action. So I’ve had the spark from a very young age.
“Getting stuck in at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House is a really exciting prospect. It’s a home-grown brand but there are so many development opportunities. I’m especially looking forward to getting started on the development of the restaurant and a new conservatory area this summer.
DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House general manager Colin Badcock added: “I’m thrilled that Brady has joined us at Cadbury House. He has an excellent track record and his ambition and drive will ensure we maintain the high standards our customers now expect.”
