Anna Averis has been appointed as the new HR director at regional accountancy firm Bishop Fleming, which has its largest office in Bristol.
Anna has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior HR professional and has previously successfully developed and implemented people initiatives to increase employee engagement and support business strategy and planning.
She joins after a year as interim senior HR business partner with Diligenta, the provider of business process services for the life and pensions industry. She has also worked for AXA Wealth and Sanlam, the Bristol-based private wealth management firm.
Bishop Fleming said her appointment complemented its wellbeing initiatives and comprehensive employee benefit packages that have been praised by the Best Companies organisation, the compiler of The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For, in which the firm has regularly appeared.
Bishop Fleming also has a Gold status award from the independent customer services agency Investor in Customers for its ‘exceptional’ service to clients.
Anna said: “It’s a privilege to be joining Bishop Fleming at a time when the firm is engaged in growth and in further developing its nationally recognised client service. The firm has a fresh and innovative approach and it is a great opportunity to build on this in leading the people agenda.”
Managing partner Andrew Sandiford added: “I am really delighted that Anna is joining us in this vital role. She brings with her a wealth of HR experience, and we welcome her to the team.”
Bishop Fleming delivers accounting, tax, corporate restructuring and advisory services to businesses and private wealth advice to individuals from its offices in Bath, Truro, Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter, Bristol and Worcester.
