South West law firm Clarke Willmott has appointed Bonita Walters as a partner in its commercial and private client litigation team, based in its Bristol office.
Bonita, pictured, specialises in contentious trust and probate matters and disputed Court of Protection applications. She also acts for private clients in property disputes and professional negligence claims arising from wills drafting, estate administration and property transactions.
She spent 10 years in investment banking before converting to law and qualifying with Bristol firm Trumps (later TLT) and then as a partner with Burroughs Day, also in Bristol, where she spent 13 years.
Commercial and private client litigation team partner Esther Woolford said Bonita brought a wealth of experience in particularly challenging cases.
“Bonita’s appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to both commercial and private client litigation within the Bristol office,” she said.
“The team has seen sustained growth both in terms of clients and staff, and we are ideally placed to deliver optimum results across all of the services we offer.”
