Keynsham-based estate agency chain Andrews plans to grow its network of branches across the South of England after promoting Emma Cox to the new role of business development manager.
Emma, pictured, has been promoted as Andrews continues with an ambitious expansion programme. It is market researching new commercial opportunities including existing businesses or greenfield sites where there is significant potential for the business to expand its footprint. Andrews aims to mark its 70th anniversary next year by taking its branch network to 70 from the 54 it has now.
So far this year it has opened or acquired four new businesses and it is keen to acquire businesses and open branches close to its existing offices which stretch from Kent, Sussex and Surrey to Bristol and Gloucestershire.
Emma, who has worked for Andrews for eight years, will be central to this in her new role. She has worked her way up from manager of the lettings branch in Bishopston, where she spent three years and secured the Branch of the Year and most-profitable branch accolades.
She was later responsible for developing the property services division, which she grew to become the market-leading asset management solution for corporate clients including banks, building societies and national receivers.
In her new role she will focus on strategically expanding Andrews’ network, either by acquisition of existing property businesses or by finding suitable retail unit for new branches. Emma said: “Andrews has a unique heritage and culture which I believe will serve us well in what is a competitive marketplace.
“While the market has been incredibly busy over the past 12 months, I do sense that this will be a temporary state and that we’ll return to more ‘normal’ conditions before too long. When this happens we need to ensure that we offer something different that people will want to engage with, vis-à-vis our corporate competitors.
“I am very much looking forward to the challenge and ensuring that Andrews builds on its already notable presence across the South West and South East of the UK.
Emma reports to managing director for lettings & management, David Westgate, who added: “Emma has built a hugely-successful career during her time at Andrews and is well placed to take on this new role which has huge strategic importance for the future growth of the business.”
