Amarelle, the Bristol-based office design and build specialist, has officially opened its new showroom and design centre as it enjoys more growth.

The firm, formed six-and-a-half years ago and now employing 13 staff, relocated from its previous cramped base in Temple Way to its new home last month.

Once part of the old gasworks in Silverthorne Lane, St Philips, the new 2,500 sq ft base has given the firm the opportunity to create an innovative space where it can showcase its designs to clients and demonstrate its design expertise.

Commercial director Charlotte Raynes said: “We spent a long time looking for the right place for our showroom. We didn’t just want a boring office – we wanted somewhere cool and quirky.”

The building had been derelict and unloved for some time – but when Amarelle’s property agents Savills suggested it they jumped at the chance to move in.

“It was quite a task to transform it but it’s been worth it,” said Charlotte. “It’s enabled us to show what we can do for our clients. We love bringing them here.”

The showroom is also in the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, which puts Amarelle at the heart of Bristol’s next regeneration area and a beacon for the city’s creativity.

Guests at the official opening enjoyed cocktails and canapes while getting a chance to get up close and personal with Amarelle’s innovative designs. The firm hopes to stage events at the showroom to highlight its own – and Bristol’s – design prowess.

Letting agents on the new building were Bruton Knowles.
