National transport planning, engineering and placemaking consultancy PJA has further strengthened its South West team by making two senior appointments and a promotion in its Bristol office.
Chartered civil engineer Paul Mackie, pictured left, has joined the office as associate director. Formerly an associate at national engineering and planning consultancy Peter Brett Associates’ Bristol office, Paul brings more than 15 years’ experience, with a focus on development infrastructure.
Eliot King, pictured below, who previously worked in the Bristol office of national engineering consultancy Hydrock, has taken up the role of associate transport planner, bringing 12 years’ experience.
Meanwhile Matt McFeat has been promoted to associate director, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Bristol city centre office and taking an active role in growing the South West team.

“They all offer a wealth of expertise and experience that will enable us to further enhance our client offering and develop the business in line with our ambitious growth strategy for the region.”
PJA South West has offices in Bristol and Exeter and provides private and public sector clients with a range of land development services including transport strategy, transport assessments and statements, travel plans, access and highway design, ground engineering, highway design, drainage design, flood risk assessments, public realm and street design, and master planning.
The team is involved in a number of high-profile projects across the South West including Buckover Garden Village near Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, Kimmerfields in Swindon town centre and urban realm designs for Torbay Development Agency.
Nationally, the firm has around 70 staff in five offices, which include Birmingham, London and Reading as well as Bristol and Exeter.
