NatWest has expanded its team of specialist relationship managers in Bristol by adding a role focusing on the not-for-profit sector.
Andrea Maddalena, pictured, who has worked for the bank for 14 years, has been appointed to the role of relationship director specialising in supporting not-for-profit organisations including charities and schools.
She said: “There are so many charities, schools and academies throughout Bristol and North Somerset and as a specialist in this sector I will be focusing all of my attention on helping them. I, like all of NatWest’s relationship managers and directors, am independently accredited by the Chartered Banker Institute, and this is something which customers find reassuring.
“We are now planning a series of events in the coming months in Bristol so that customers and potential customers in the not-for-profit sector can find out more about what NatWest can offer them.”
Andrea will also help stage MoneySense, NatWest’s flagship financial education programme, in schools in Bristol and North Somerset.
MoneySense gives financial lessons to thousands of children in secondary schools and is about to be rolled out to primary schools. It aims to help children learn money-management skills.
The NatWest team in Bristol also includes specialists in healthcare, professionals, manufacturing, technology, media and telecoms, and leisure.
NatWest director of commercial banking for Bristol, Matt Hatcher, said: “Andrea is the latest addition to a nationwide team of 70 specialists in the not-for-profit sector. Having this level of expertise in our Bristol team means that local not-for-profit organisations can work with a contact who thoroughly understands the sector, understands the pressing issues facing them and can provide integrated, insightful and effective support.”
