Bristol law firm Osborne Clarke has further boosted its reputation for international fund work after advising Swedish real estate private equity firm Niam on the close of its €719m (£577m) Niam Nordic V fund – the largest Nordic opportunistic property fund measured by total equity commitments.
The investors include global public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and financial institutions.
Osborne Clarke investment funds partner Tim Simmonds said: “In the current environment this is an excellent close, which exceeds Niam’s target by around 20%.
“Our funds practice is fast gaining recognition as a quality player in the market, and we are seeing more clients asking us to advise on substantial fund formations like this one.”
Mr Simmonds led the OC team advising Niam and was assisted by solicitor Irina Sharay.
